Brainstorming topics and writing an outline for descriptive process essay

What we did in class, today – After completing Activity 15 (p. 95 in Great Writing 5), students brainstormed their chosen topic and write an outline (Activities 16 and 17 on p. 96 in Great Writing 5).

Check your marks in SIS – Marks for Thought Question 1 and Readings 4-6 are in SIS. If a mistake has been made, please notify me within 48 hours. Otherwise, the grade will not be changed.

Homework

  • Review pp. 96-101 in Great Writing 5 before class on Wednesday, Feb. 15.
  • Between Feb. 9 and before midnight on Feb. 15, complete the Activities for any two Achieve3000 articles of your choice.

What we will do in class on Wednesday, Feb. 15 – Students will practice the contextual clues reading technique and completed an Achieve3000 article and Thought 2 in class, so be sure to bring your laptop and flash memory.
