What we did in class, today – Students downloaded the essay template and saved it to their hard drives as their name. Using the life cycle of a frog outline, students began writing their descriptive process essay rough draft of their introduction (Activity 19 on p. 99 in Great Writing 5) and submitted it to Turnitin in MyGUST. Then, they peer-reviewed each other’s introductions (Activity 20 on p. 99 in Great Writing 5). Afterwards, using reading techniques previously taught, they completed Achieve3000 reading “Swiss Tunnel Delivers,” which was counted as Achieve3000 Reading 10. In order to receive credit for the Activity, students had to complete it during class when it was being taught.

Homework – Before midnight on Feb. 22, complete the Activities for any two Achieve3000 articles (other than “Helping a Classmate Learn”) of your choice.
