Reading Final Exam

What we did in class, today – Students took the reading section of the final exam. It is worth 10% of the course grade. They also submitted the final draft of their cause or effect essay, which is worth 10% of the course grade.   They started the class by reviewing the procedure for taking the Accuplacer writing exam. Next, they reviewed the steps for writing the Accuplacer essay followed by how to improve your Accuplacer essay score. They were reminded to use the language of argumentation in their essays.

Final Exam – The Accuplacer writing portion of the final exam will be at 5:00 on Wednesday, May 3, in W3-101. It is worth 12% of your course grade. Please note that if you miss this exam, you MUST contact me to make up the exam on Thursday. There will be no make up after then.

Homework

  1. You have until before midnight on Tuesday, May 2, to make up any missing thought questions.
  2. Practice for the Accuplacer essay part of the final exam. It is worth 20% of the course grade. Review the steps for writing the Accuplacer essay and how to improve your Accuplacer essay score. Also, memorize words from the language of argumentation to use in your Accuplacer essays. These are available in MyGUST under the week beginning April 23.

What we will do in class on Wednesday, May 3 – You will write the Accuplacer essay part of the final exam in W3-101 at 5:00 on Wednesday. Be sure to be early because the test will start at 5:00. This part of the final exam is worth 20% of your course grade.
