What we did today – Students were reminded that Classwork 12 has been marked. If there is a mistake, students should email me at my GUST email account. In addition, they should let me know what section they are registered in and what the problem is. If I have not been notified by 5 p.m. today, the mark will stand as recorded.
Group A students were in the Writing Lab today, while Groups B and C were in the classroom.
- Today, students reviewed the writing project guidelines. (The writing project guidelines are available in MyGUST under the week of 13 November – 19 November. They are also available in the Handouts folder in OneNote.)
- In OneNote, students opened the Outline folder. They clicked on the Writing Project Essay Outline page, where they chose one of the two assigned topics. Next, they wrote an outline for their 500-to-600-word classification essay based on their choice. The outline had to be finished before the end of today’s class.
What we will do on Tuesday, November 15 – Group B students will be in the Writing Lab, while Groups A and C will be in the classroom. After reviewing the ENGL 100 Essay Rubric and The “3.8” Paragraph Model, all three groups will write the body paragraphs of their 500- to 600-word classification essay in OneNote in the Writing Project Essay folder.
